Abstract

|
The authors examined 2 183 patients among 4 083 settlers of 22 leper villages in a province and obtained 62 positive cases which are summarized as follows The bacterial positivity was 2.8 percent and the age group of 30-34 years showed the most high positivity as 29.0%
The bacillary index was most high as, 15.0% in1.K-2.00, and the type of leprosy was all lepromatous leprosy which were mostly mild cases in the grade of disease.
The sex distribution revealed male, 37 cases and female, 25 cases but no signi￢ficance between both sexes was noted.
